The Porsche Cayenne GTS is one of the brightest representatives of the Cayenne SUV family. It is more athletic and more powerful than the base models and is, in fact, a transitional link from simple Cayenne SUVs to the top-end Cayenne Turbo. Like other cars in this model line, the Porsche Cayenne GTS has undergone a restyling by 2015, in which the car has become even more attractive in all respects.

As mentioned just above, the Porsche Cayenne GTS is much more athletic and muscular than the "standard Cayenne". This is achieved through widened wheel arches that can accommodate the base 20-inch or optional 21-inch "rollers". The lowered ground clearance also contributes, making the Cayenne GTS more down-to-earth and at the same time the most sporty SUV. Taken together, all this allows you to create the appearance of a powerful athlete, ready for maximum loads from the very start. A slightly tweaked rear spoiler, specially designed wheel rims and aerodynamic side skirts complement this look.

In the course of restyling, the GTS version received a "face" from the Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2015 model year, devoid of only the characteristic protection of the lower edge of the bumper.

The length of the 2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS is 4855 mm, the wheelbase is 2895 mm, the width of the SUV's body reaches 1954 mm, and the height does not exceed 1688 mm. The ground clearance (clearance) of the Porsche Cayenne GTS is 203 mm. The curb weight of the restyled version is 2110 kg, which is 25 kg more than before the update in 2015.

The interior of the Porsche Cayenne GTS has remained practically unchanged as part of the 2015 restyling. The general design concept, as before, is borrowed from the "standard Porsche Cayenne", the differences are only in the presence of front sports seats and the styling of individual elements, in particular the tachometer.

As for the innovations introduced during the update, the Porsche Cayenne GTS, like all other models in the range, received a new multifunction steering wheel, as well as rear seats with ventilation function as an option.

The luggage compartment of the second generation Porsche Cayenne GTS is ready to hide in its depths up to 670 liters of cargo in the base and 1790 liters with the second row seats folded.

Specifications. Before restyling, the "second" Porsche Cayenne GTS was equipped with an 8-cylinder V-shaped gasoline engine (known from the Porsche Cayenne S) with a displacement of 4.8 liters (4806 cm³), direct fuel injection, a 32-valve timing mechanism and a variable valve timing system ... Its upper power limit reached 420 hp available at 6500 rpm, and torque peaked at 515 Nm at 3500 rpm. As a gearbox for this engine, only an 8-range "automatic" Tiptronic S was offered.

During the 2015 update, the Porsche Cayenne GTS received a completely new engine. Under the bonnet of the sport utility vehicle is now a 6-cylinder unit with twin turbocharging, direct fuel injection and a displacement of 3.6 liters (3604 cm³). The novelty is able to provide the Cayenne GTS with maximum output at 440 hp. at 6000 rpm, as well as a torque of 600 Nm at 1600 - 5000 rpm. At the same time, the checkpoint remained the same, although it was subjected to reconfiguration and minor modifications.
As a result, the updated Porsche Cayenne GTS is able to gain the first 100 km / h on the speedometer in 5.2 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than its predecessor. The maximum speed of the Porsche Cayenne GTS has also grown, but only slightly - from 261 to 262 km / h. But the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle of the updated SUV has changed almost dramatically, instead of the previous 10.7 liters of gasoline, the new product requires exactly 10.0 liters.

The Porsche Cayenne GTS is based on the chassis of the standard Cayenne, but with an extended package. The vehicle is equipped with a fully independent adaptive suspension with wishbones at the front and multi-link at the rear. In addition, the SUV is already in the base equipped with pneumatic shock absorbers with the function of adjusting the damping rigidity and the vehicle's ground clearance in the range of 203 - 261 mm, as well as a standard set of electronic assistants: ABS, EBD, BAS, ESP and ASR.
The drive of the Porsche Cayenne GTS is plug-in full - the front axle is connected via an electronically controlled multi-disc interaxle clutch. All wheels of the Cayenne GTS are equipped with ventilated disc brakes with perforated discs with a diameter of 390 mm at the front and 358 mm at the rear, as well as red aluminum monobloc calipers (6-piston front and 4-piston rear). The rack and pinion steering gear of the SUV is additionally equipped with a variable power hydraulic booster.
