In January 2014, at a car show in Detroit, Cadillac made the international debut of its new mid-size coupe, the ATS Coupe, based on a four-door model. The car, which, in comparison with the sedan of the same name, received more sporty settings of the main components and assemblies, during 2014 began to conquer the markets of the USA and Europe, but has not yet reached Russia.

Externally, the Cadillac ATS coupe is designed in the same vein as the three-volume (front and rear cannot be distinguished at all), however, due to the two-door body, it looks even more spectacular and interesting. But its slightly overweight profile with a large sirloin does not in any way remind of sports, which stands out from the ideology of the car.

The overall dimensions of the Cadillac ATS Coupe are as follows: 4663 mm in length, of which 2775 mm is allocated for the wheelbase, 1392 mm in height and 1841 mm in width. Under the "belly" of the car, a ground clearance of 145 mm is visible.

The interior of the two-door "eti-es" in the front part completely copies that of the sedan - an original and beautiful design, thought out from the point of view of ergonomics, exceptionally expensive finishing materials and comfortable seats with an excellent profile and a lot of electrical adjustments.

But the back sofa in the compartment is molded for two passengers, each of whom will feel very at ease. The luggage compartment of the car can hold up to 295 liters of luggage (just like a four-door).

Specifications. For the Cadillac ATS Coupe, there are two gasoline engines, combined with a rear-wheel drive transmission or all-wheel drive based on a Haldex multi-plate clutch and a 6-speed "automatic" (the basic setting is also with a "manual" gearbox for six gears).

  • The first unit is a 2.0-liter "four" with direct injection and turbocharging, producing 276 "heads" at 5500 rpm and 353 Nm of available torque at 1700-5500 rpm.
  • The second option is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 engine, equipped with a direct fuel supply system and a 24-valve timing, the output of which has 325 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 371 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm.

The Cadillac ATS coupe is built on the basis of the sedan of the same name, which is why it technically repeats it entirely: GM Alpha "bogie" with MacPherson struts in front and "five-link" rear, ventilated discs "in a circle" with modern "assistants" and ZF adaptive electromechanical power steering. Optionally, the car is equipped with a mechatronic chassis Magnetic Ride Control.

Options and prices. The Cadillac ATS Coupe is not officially supplied to Russia, but in the European market (for example, in Germany) a two-door in 2016 is sold at a price of 37,995 euros.
As for the standard and optional equipment, then the car does not have significant differences from the three-volume model.
