On the catwalks of the Geneva Motor Show, which opened to visitors in March 2016, the Jaguar brand publicly presented to the world the most powerful model in its history - the "charged" two-door "F-Type" with the attachment "SVR" (in body solutions coupe and roadster with a soft top). But, without waiting for the "live" premiere, the British on February 17 of the same year declassified their "brainchild" on the Web - revealing its appearance and technical data.

On the Russian market, car sales started in April 2016.

In January 2017, the car appeared before the public in an updated guise - in technical terms, it did without any significant changes, but at the same time it slightly changed externally (the most noticeable change in the exterior is LED head optics and taillights), received minor interior improvements and acquired new (not previously offered) options.

Externally, the Jaguar F-Type SVR did not distance itself much from its "congeners" - it is distinguished by a front bumper with large air ducts, a wing on the trunk lid that rises with increasing speed, and original 20-inch wheel rims wrapped in 265/35 / R20 tires at the front and 305/30 / R20 at the back.

In terms of overall dimensions, the "charged" two-door is almost identical to the "civil" model: 4475 mm in length, 1923 mm in width and 1311 mm in height (1308 mm for a roadster). There is a gap of 2622 mm between the axles of the car.

In "combat" form, the "extreme" car weighs from 1705 to 1720 kg, depending on the type of body.

Inside, the Jaguar F-Type SVR showcases beautiful and modern styling, coupled with high-end materials, but the base versions of the car also flaunt the same.

Well, the identifiers of the "extreme" coupe and roadster are unique bucket seats with contrasting stitching, Alcantara in the front panel trim and the SVR logos.

In addition to two crew members, the British "lighter" is capable of taking on board up to 408 liters of luggage in the Coupe version and up to 207 liters in the Convertible modification (in general, full parity with the simpler "brothers").

The SVR version of the Jaguar F-Type is powered by a 5.0 liter (5000 cubic centimeters) aluminum petrol V-shaped configuration with an Eaton supercharger, direct injection and variable valve timing on the intake. Its peak capacity is 575 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 3500-5000 rpm.

In conjunction with the engine, an 8-speed "automatic" Quickshift, an active electronically controlled differential on the rear axle, an AWD all-wheel drive system with a multi-plate clutch that connects the front wheels, and a "transfer case" built into the gearbox housing are installed. Depending on the road situation, the potential can be distributed between the axles in a ratio from 50:50 to 0: 100.

The characteristics of the "charged" two-door are pleasantly surprising: the car overcomes the sprint to the first "hundred" in just 3.7 seconds, on average, consuming no more than 11.3 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in a combined cycle. The coupe is capable of accelerating up to 322 km / h, while the roadster's “peak of possibilities” is limited to 314 km / h.

Structurally, the Jaguar F-Type SVR is not much different from the "civilian" model: it is based on a modified "bogie" of the XK family with double wishbone suspension on both axles, sport adaptive shock absorbers, rack and pinion steering with electric power assistance and a body made of aluminum.

As standard, the "Briton" is equipped with powerful brakes with ventilated discs with a diameter of 380 mm in front and 376 mm in the rear, "clamped" two-piston and single-piston calipers, respectively. An optional braking system is available with 398mm carbon ceramic front and 380mm rear pancakes, as well as solid six and four-piston calipers.

In the Russian market in 2017, the "charged" Jaguar F-Type is offered exclusively in a coupe body at a price of 10,122,000 rubles.
By default, the car is equipped with: front and side airbags, "climate" for two zones, an adaptive chassis, 20-inch "rollers", leather trim, bi-xenon optics, sports "exhaust", an advanced multimedia complex, sports front seats and a premium audio system ... In addition, the arsenal of the SVR version includes a lot of modern electronic technologies responsible for safety.
