The full-size off-road vehicle Derways Shuttle, whose exterior can be traced to the motives of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Opel Frontera, debuted in December 2005, after which it entered mass production at the Cherkessk plant.
The life cycle of the car did not last long - already in 2008 it was forced to leave the assembly line due to low consumer demand.
The Shuttle is a fairly large SUV: its length is 4985 mm, its width is 1800 mm, and its height reaches 1885 mm.
The wheelbase of the five-door is extended by 2760 mm, and its ground clearance is 230 mm.
In the "combat" state, the vehicle weighs from 1730 to 1885 kg, depending on the modification, and its total weight is 2430 kg.
Specifications. Derways Shuttle has two four-cylinder engines, which are installed in conjunction with a 5-speed "manual" gearbox and an all-wheel drive system with a rigidly connected front axle, a 2-stage "transfer case" with a range multiplier and a locking center differential:
- The first engine is a gasoline 2.4-liter "atmospheric" with a 16-valve timing and multi-point "power" technology, generating 126 "horses" at 5250 rpm and 190 Nm of peak thrust at 2080 rpm.
- The second is a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel unit with Common Rail fuel supply and 16 valves, which produces 90 "horses" and 205 Nm of torque.
The petrol modification of the Shuttle exchanges the second “hundred” after 13 seconds, reaches a maximum of 150 km / h and “digests” no more than 12 liters of fuel in the “highway / city” mode.
The entry and exit angles for an SUV are 24 and 20 degrees, respectively.
The base for the Derways Shuttle is a spar frame on which the power plant is located longitudinally. At the front, the car is equipped with an independent torsion bar suspension on wishbones and hydraulic shock absorbers, and at the rear - with a continuous axle on longitudinal springs (on both axles - with an anti-roll bar).
The steering system of the SUV is formed by a rack and pinion mechanism and a hydraulic control amplifier. The front wheels of the five-door are equipped with ventilated disc brakes, and the rear ones have simpler "drums" (in all versions - with ABS).
Among the positive features of an SUV are: good looks, reliable design, roomy interior and trunk, excellent cross-country ability, low maintenance cost and other points.
But it also has negative sides: poor sound insulation, poor build quality, stiff suspension, high "appetite" and low corrosion protection.
Price. In the Russian market of used cars in 2017, the Shuttle is offered at a price of ~ 200 thousand rubles.
